A Day out in the West Cumberland
 
In mid November, a large party of Brethren from West Lancashire made an early start to venture into the District of Cumberland and Westmorland set amongst spectacular scenery of the northern part of the Lake District.

Snow was encountered not only going over Shap, but around Keswick however the intrepid band of Brethren kept going arriving at Cleator Moor with plenty of time to meet friends and share a welcome cup of tea together with a plentiful supply of biscuits.

Leading the deputation was the DGP Bill Seddon; also in attendance was the Dept.DGP Paul Snape as well as fourteen members of the District, included in this number was the Grand Junior Deacon continuing his Grand Tour.

During his address, Eddie Crosby, the District Grand Prefect for Cumberland and Westmorland thanked the members from West Lancashire for their valued support.

Following the meeting we were treated to a four course Banquet in the company of friends from both the District of Cumberland and Westmorland and other Districts visiting the meeting.
